About · Who You Are Dealing With

Built by someone who has run the jobs, not just priced them

Eagle Eye Estimations exists because tradies kept losing their evenings to tender pricing and their margins to missed items. Over 15 years of delivering construction projects sits behind every takeoff that leaves here.

The Short Story

Why this business exists

The pattern is always the same. You are flat out on the tools, a tender lands with a deadline attached, and the only time left to price it is after dinner. So it gets priced tired, or it gets priced fast, or it does not get priced at all — and each of those costs you something.

Eagle Eye Estimations was set up to take that specific problem off your plate. Not to sell you software, not to put an estimator on your payroll, and not to lock you into a retainer for work you might not need next month. Just to measure the job properly when the job turns up.

Adam runs it, and over 15 years of delivering construction projects sits behind it — residential, commercial and industrial, from single slabs through to full tender packages. Every takeoff is measured and marked up in-house.

What running jobs teaches you about pricing them

The experience behind this business is not only estimating. It covers construction programs, progress claims, variations and sub-contract review — the parts of a job where money is actually won and lost after the quote is accepted.

That changes how an estimate gets built. You notice the discrepancy between the drawing and the specification because you have argued the variation. You separate the trades because you have had to justify a progress claim. You flag the unclear item in writing because you know what happens when nobody does.

How We Work

The three things we will not do

We will not invent a quantity. Where the drawings do not tell us something we need, we say so and write down the assumption we used. An assumption you can see is a decision. An assumption you cannot see is a variation waiting to happen.

We will not blame you for your process. Most tradies price their own work at night because that is the only time there is. That is not a failing, it is a scheduling problem, and it is the one this service is designed to solve.

We will not sell you something you do not need. If your job is small enough that the takeoff will not save you anything, we will tell you. If the scope has a problem in it, we will say so before you tender rather than after you win it.

What clients actually mention

Two things, consistently: the colour-coded markup that lets them check any line against the drawing, and the live Excel spreadsheet with their own rates in it. Both exist because an estimate you cannot verify is just someone else's opinion. See how it works →

FAQ

About us, answered

Fair questions to ask before you send someone your drawings.

Adam does. Every takeoff is measured and marked up in-house rather than passed to an overseas subcontractor, which is why the markup is consistent and why you can ask a question about a specific line and get an answer about that line.

Over 15 years delivering construction projects, across residential, commercial and industrial work. That includes the parts of the job that happen after the estimate — programs, progress claims, variations and contract administration — which is why the estimates account for the things that cause disputes later.

Yes. Eagle Eye Estimations carries $1M professional indemnity insurance. If you need the certificate of currency for a builder's prequalification pack, ask and we will send it.

The service is fully remote and works the same way in every state, because plans arrive by email and takeoffs go back by email. What does change by location is the content of the estimate — wind classification, soil classification, climate zone and council requirements all vary, and we price against the ones that apply to your job.

You should not have to. That is what the colour-coded markup is for — every quantity traces back to a coloured item on the drawing with a legend entry, so you can verify the work instead of trusting it. And the first job is free, so the risk of finding out is zero.

Both. Most of our work is for subcontractors pricing their own trade package, but we also work with builders who need a full takeoff across trades, and with suppliers who need quantities to quote against.

Yes. Drawings and scopes are treated as confidential and are not shared or used as examples without permission. Where work is shown publicly, project details are kept general and client names are removed.

Test it on one job

The first estimate is free and there is nothing to sign, so the only thing at risk is the time it takes to forward an email. Send the drawings and the scope and see what comes back. Prefer to talk first? Reply with "KEEN" and your number.
